WE-Care teams across Africa led engaging discussions on different platforms, centering on making care public and universal for all. During the celebration of the International Day of Care and Support on 29 October 2024, WE-Care held the #RightToCare campaign to underscore how care work is a vital component of the society, yet it is often unpaid and undervalued, especially for women and marginalized communities. WE-Care called to recognize, redistribute, and reward care work fairly, as well as for governments and private sector companies to promote and offer decent jobs and protection for all caregivers. The campaign ran from 29 October to 7 November.
