WE-Care team participates in the Hewlett Community Grantee Meeting in Tanzania
On 23–25 September2024, Hewlett Foundation convened a Community Grantee Meeting in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, for all its grantees across the world. This is part of their efforts to enhance the macro field of Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) through promoting collaborative learning and synergy among community partners. This is also aligned to their efforts of advancing gender-responsive economic policies throughout Africa. The meeting also aimed at supporting community partners to collectively generate the most effective advocacy and evidence, as well as the most impactful, locally tailored, contextually appropriate, and sustainable solutions that can inform and implement sound public policy.
This meeting attracted over 100 participants from different parts of the world. The WE-Care Program was represented by two partners (i.e., Network of Ethiopian Women Association and Youth Alive! Kenya), the Gender Justice Lead, and the WE-Care Program Manager.
